The apostle Paul wrote those words in 2 Cor. 6:18 as a prophetic word from our Heavenly Father for everyone to hear or read for the rest of eternity. Those words are in italic in my (Rick) Bible because they refer to similar words that God spoke to David just before his death to assure him that his son, Solomon, would be taken care of by God Himself. God told David, “I will be his Father, and he shall be My son.” 2 Sam. 7:14 2, Chron. 28:6
