Prayer to Forgive a Parent

“Father, I thank You for creating my father (my mother) in Your image. With all my heart I forgive him for not becoming all You created him to be. I realize now that he needed the healing that I am even now receiving. Some way, somehow, Lord, as I accept and forgive my father, may his life as it has been handed on to me become all You ever intended it to be. Lord, I do forgive him all his offenses against me. I do accept him as he is, an unhealed and needy person. There but for Your grace, I would be. I thank You for all You made him to be, all You created him to be. I will look for the real person You intended him to be, and in Your Name I will affirm it whenever I see it. I look to You now for the affirmation I always wanted so badly from him. Love him when You can, Lord, through me. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Prayer to Break Death Wishes

Father, forgive me for making this death wish, wishing I would just die and go to heaven, wishing my body was different than it is, wishing I was somebody else, wishing I was born in a different place or time, wishing I had never been born, or wishing I had different parents. Forgive me for wanting to take your place in control over my life and thwarting your plan for me. I forgive myself for wanting to take my own life.

In the name of Jesus, I loose myself from a spirit of death over me and break its power to affect my body any longer. I come out of agreement with any demonic forces that have entered my body as a result of this death wish. I forbid any spirits of infirmities, sicknesses, diseases, germs, viruses, abnormal cells from attacking my body any longer. Body, you function in the way God created you to function.

Now I choose to live and not die and to proclaim the works of the Lord. I CHOOSE LIFE!

Prayers of Submission

#1 Healing Past Wounds

I choose to submit my will to You, Father. I humbly confess and repent of all of my sins, and I receive forgiveness and cleansing through the shed blood of Jesus. I repent of any way that I have given place to the enemy in my life. I close all open doors that have let the enemy trespass in my life. I am your son/daughter and my body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. I shall have victory as I submit myself to Your healing and transforming process. I ask You to set my body and soul free so that I can choose to praise Your name.

I ask You to reveal the deep and hidden things to me that I have held in darkness, those deepest secrets inside me. Father, I ask You to bring those things to the surface that You want to heal now. I ask You to unlock those areas of my heart that I have kept closed from You and others. I give You permission to remove the roots of any hidden memories that are affecting my life. Help me get rid of any deception, denial, or hindering spirits that may be blocking my memory and hindering me from receiving my healing. Father, please be with me as I walk through any past hurt or pain. Because of Your love for me, I know that You will not reveal more than I can bear.

Prayers of Submission

#2 Wrong Thinking

I know that I will be set free by the power of the Cross and Your shed blood. I have been redeemed, forgiven, and sanctified. I choose to submit to the process of being transformed by the renewing of my mind. I ask You to search my heart and thoughts and show me any wrong thinking or blind spots. Father, give me the grace to cooperate with You fully in the process of changing my wrong thinking so that I can see myself as You see me. I thank You that You have created me in Your image and that You want to set me free from all negative ways that I see myself, others, and You. I commit my way to You, Father, knowing that You will establish my thoughts. Set me free from everything that has bound me, tormented me, or defiled me and every unclean spirit. I cancel every legal right of every demon sent to oppose me. I renounce and loose myself from Satan and command you and your demons to leave me now in the Name of Jesus.

Prayers of Submission

#3 Sins of the Fathers

I choose to confess and acknowledge the sins of my ancestors. I choose to forgive and release them for their sins that have negatively affected me. I renounce all of the sins of my ancestors and release myself from their effects. I break and come out of agreement with all curses that have been released on me from my ancestors or others. I break every curse that I have thought or spoken about myself. I renounce and cancel Satan and his demons’ attempt to control or affect me through these generational curses. According to Gal. 3:13 Jesus became a curse for me so that I could be set free from every generational curse, curse of the Law, curses others have spoken against me, and curses I may have spoken against myself. I claim myself free from their influence on me now in the Name of Jesus.
