We all know from our earliest days in school that 1 + 1 = 2. But in Gen. 2:24 we are told that “a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.” (emphasis added) When a man and woman come together in marriage, they will spend the rest of their lives together learning how to become one, and I can tell you from experience, that’s not easy!
