We often refer to a child who is disobedient or who won’t listen to us as being “out of control.” I was told to “control myself” when I was out in public and “don’t draw attention to yourself.” Or we might think that someone who is wildly praising the Lord during a service or responding to the anointing of the Holy Spirit on them as be- ing “out of control.” Our society puts a great deal of emphasis on being “in control.”
